Alan Gibbs

Alan Thomas Gibbs, age 54, of Mission, Texas, passed away October 29,2013 at his residence.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. in the Meridian Cemetery, Meridian, Texas with Rev. Richard Creech officiating.

Alan was raised in Mission where he graduated in 1978. He will be remembered as a great dad and was always trying to please. Alan was deeply loved and will be truly missed. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mission.

Mr. Gibbs is survived by his children: Devin Gibbs, Chelsea Gibbs, and Brandon Gibbs, all of Mission; his parents: Dr. William and Bobbie Gibbs, Jr. of Meridian, and formerly of Mission; sisters: Suzanne Ryan and husband, Mike, of Amarillo, Cindy Gibbs of Austin, and Melissa Tolson and husband, Stan, of San Antonio; nieces: Paige and Brooke Tolson; nephews, Sean Ryan and Landon Burge; aunt, Charlotte Waitz of Mission; mother of his children, Olga Martell of Mission.

He was the grandson of the late Dr. William and Charlotte Gibbs, Sr., of Mission and Roland and Arlene Millsap of Meridian.
