Barbara Martinez

Barbara Claire Martinez, age 78, of Kopperl, passed away early Saturday morning, May 14, 2016, at her residence.

At her request, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

She was born Dec. 11, 1937, in New Braunfels, Texas. She was a daughter of the late Melvin McCaskill and Marjorie C. Cash. Barbara was a retired convenience store clerk. She had resided in Kopperl for the last several years with a daughter, P. J. Johnson.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia "P.J." Johnson of Kopperl and Cindy LaTouf of Buford, Georgia; 2 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Diane Hunsberger of Waco; number of other relatives.
