Barbara Tanner Morrow

Barbara Ann Tanner Morrow age 80 of Walnut Springs, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Waco, Texas with family by her side.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Walnut Springs Baptist Church with Rev. T.J. Joyner and Rev. Jeremiah Rue officiating. Visitation will take place from Noon until service time at the church. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Pallbearers were Greg Morrow, Derik Morrow, Ryan Morrow, Patrick Macenko, Bryan Bowman and Brady Dempsey.

Barbara Ann Tanner was born on December 27, 1936 in Walnut Springs to Archie Tanner, Jr., and Eva Hazel Goyne. She was a 1955 graduate from Walnut Springs High School. After High School she moved to Fort Worth and became a military wife for a number of years. The couple traveled all over following his career in the United States Air Force. In 1973 she began her career with American Airlines as a Reservationist and was with them for several years before retiring back to her hometown of Walnut Springs. After moving back, Barbara became very active in the Walnut Springs Baptist Church. She was the head of the Hostess Committee at the church, worked with the children's program on Wednesday nights, and also loved singing in the church choir. Outside of her duties at the church Barbara was the Coordinator for the North Bosque Helping Hands for 10-12 years. She was very passionate about her church and also North Bosque Helping Hands. Her many pastimes included walking her dogs, enjoying the outdoors, tending to her flowers and garden, and loved to travel. She especially loved spending time with family and friends, including the annual Goyne Women's Retreat, and enjoyed hosting the Annual Family Reunion. Barbara will be missed by anyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Arthur Fredrickson and wife, Jane, of Wooster, Ohio; daughter, Angela Fredrickson Morgan, and husband, John, of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Sarah Wood and husband, Euclid, of Florida, Timothy Fredrickson of California, Steven Fredrickson of Utah, Tanya Rue and husband, Jeremiah, of Granbury, Eric Butler of Springfield, Missouri; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruthie Morrow of Walnut Springs, Elsie Moews and husband, Robert, of Walnut Springs, Kay Uloth and husband, John, of Walnut Springs; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Archie Tanner, Jr., and Eva Hazel Goyne; and husband, Roger Morrow.
