Billie Jo Allen, age 74, of Clifton, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at a Clifton care facility.

Funeral services will be 12 noon, Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian. Visitation will take place from 11:00 A.M. until service time at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Rev. Denise Blakely, Rev. Campbell, and Rev. Daniel Hawkins will officiate. Interment will be at the Meridian Memorial Cemetery located on SH# 144. Pallbearers will be Gary Allen, Reggie Miller, Ralph Miller, Rickie Miller, Jeffrey Allen, Hugh Bates, Jr. Noel Shields, and Dalane Bible.

Billie Jo Jackson was born on July 12, 1942 in Crawford, Texas to Julius Jackson and Evangeline Hemphill. She was raised in Crawford where she also graduated from high school. She worked at Walls Clothing and Manufacturing in Clifton. She loved to sing in the choir, playing bingo, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a very good mother and wife.

She is survived by her children, Rodrick Allen and wife, Elaine, of Clifton, Elizabeth Allen of Waco; mother, Evangeline Hemphill Jackson of Decatur; sisters, Clara Jane Miller of Houston, Louis Jean Bible and Gil, of Decatur; brothers, Johnny R. Jackson and wife, Francine, of Fort Washington, Maryland, Weldon Thomas and wife, Shirley, of Waco; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jay, Jason, Tommy, Daniel, and Ms. J; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Jalen, Landon, Bryce, Orie, Zozo, Jefferson, Jace, Destiny, Mason, and Amelia; many other relatives and friends.
