Billy Ross

Billy Joe Ross age 90 of Morgan, passed away on March 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M., Monday, March 5, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Minister Kim Adams will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Kimball Cemetery near Kopperl, Texas. Pallbearers will be Paul Delgado, Bryant Clark, Larry Dickinson, John Delgado, Cheylon Clark, Aaron Barragan, Mark Dickinson, Blake Walsh, and Bret Horner.

Billy Joe Ross was born on February 9, 1928 in Okemah, Oklahoma to William McKinley and Ola M. Warf Ross. He was a truck driver for most of his working career. He married Betty Jo Ryals on May 17, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. They moved to Bosque County in 1987. During his free time he enjoyed gardening, yard work, and just enjoying the outdoors. He will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Dautha "Dee" Clark of Morgan, Linda Carol Barrgan of Princeton; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bobby Ross of Chicago, Illinois, Paul Ross of Borger, Texas, Johnny Ross of Sherman, Maxine Latham of The Colony, Betty Ann Reynolds of Dallas, Christine Carey of Dallas, Barbara Harrison of Arkansas, Wanda Rhyne of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Audrey Gillingham of Plano; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, William McKinley and Ola M. Warf Ross; wife, Betty Jo Ross; son, Allen Ross; sister, Shirley Mae Douglas; and a granddaughter, Christe Ann Hickerson.
