Bobby Frank Anderson went to his heavenly home on June 12, 2025. Bobby Anderson was born on December 9, 1949, in Eden, TX to John and Betty Anderson. He attended Eden High school and graduated in May 1968. Bobby joined the United States Army in May of 1970. Upon graduation from basic training Bobby attended training at Ft. Gordon, GA as a Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator. Bobby served with distinction with U.S. Army 2nd Armor Division "Hell on Wheels" leaving the Army in March 1973. He also served in the National Guard. Bobby married Tresa Lea Deck of Eden, TX in September of 1972. Bobby and Tresa had two daughters, Candice, born in 1975, and Crystal, born in 1977. In 1973, after being honorably discharged from the Army, Bobby embarked on a 33-year career with GTE. During which time he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Angelo State University. Bobby was known to be a hardworking, intelligent, and resourceful member of the GTE team. Bobby and Tresa resided in the Grape Creek and San Angelo, TX area for 40 years raising their loving daughters and doting on their beloved grandchildren. In 2021 Tresa and Bobby pulled up stakes and moved to their dream home in Meridian, TX to be close to additional family.
Bobby was a warm, soft spoken, kind family man with character, strong moral compass and a loving and accepting soul. He was an avid reader and continued to seek knowledge, fulfillment, and experience throughout his life. Bobby enjoyed working in his shop, doing crossword puzzles, and just relaxing in the living room with Tresa and their furry companions. Bobby was a soldier, communications engineer, small business owner, and volunteer firefighter/EMT, but most of all, he was a loving compassionate husband, daddy, son, brother and Pappy. Bobby's presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bobby Anderson is preceded in death by his father, John F. Anderson and his daughter Crystal Delana Anderson. Bobby leaves behind a loving wife of 53 years, daughter Candice Tarker and son-in-law Todd Tarker, two granddaughters Tannar and Taylar Martin, mother Betty Anderson and sister Peggy Anderson.
Graveside services will be planned at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo at a later date.
