It is with deep sorrow and enduring love that we announce the passing of Cameron Trevino, age 24, who left this world on July 12, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with mental health.
Born on June 25, 2001, Cameron had a heart full of love and a wild spirit that touched everyone around him. Despite the many hardships he faced throughout his life, Cameron never let pain or adversity stop him from caring for others. He met the world with kindness, humor, and an unwavering ability to make people feel seen, accepted, and loved.
Cameron had the rare gift of unconditional love. He embraced people just as they were, offering laughter, joy, and a safe space in even the darkest moments. His smile could light up a room, and his presence brought comfort to so many.
He is survived by his loving mother Jeana Trevino, stepfather Wendell Adkins, brothers River George, Timothy Trevino, and Luke Owens, sisters Ocean George and Shawneece Adkins, nephews Carter Lail and Sterling Taylor, his cherished Papa Lloyd Davis, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cameron is reunited in Heaven with his father, Tomas Trevino grandmothers and other family where we believe he has found the peace he so deeply deserved.
Cameron will be laid to rest at New Energy Church in Belot, Texas, near the very place where so many cherished childhood memories were made. There, surrounded by love and legacy, his ashes will be placed in a resting place of peace.
Though we mourn the tremendous loss of Cameron's presence, we hold tight to the joy he brought into our lives. His life was a testimony of strength in the face of struggle and love in the face of pain. We take comfort in knowing that his battle is over and peace has finally found him.
As his sister Ocean shares, “I thank my Heavenly Father — even for the suffering — because I know the battle has already been won.” Amen
Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
