Charles Kindell Wright, age 80, of Meridian, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 12, 2014, in a local nursing facility.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Creech officiating. Burial was in the Meridian Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Todd Hyatt, Walter Malott, Anthony Malott, Rodrick Allen, Reuben Felan, Chad Purcell and Anthony Malott.
Kindell was born January 25, 1934, in Meridian, Texas. He was a son of the late Fred K. Wright and Annie Pettiet Wright. Kindell was raised in Meridian and graduated from Meridian High School. He served with the U. S. Army for 3 years before being injured and was given a medical honorable discharge.
Kindell lived in Meridian most of his life where he worked as a small engine mechanic and appliance repairman. He owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Meridian for several years. Kindell was very talented and there was not much that he could not fix or repair.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Wright and wife, Debbie, of Hurst; daughters,
Lisa and Laurie Wright, both of Euless; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild;
number of other relatives and friends.
