Danny Paul Deal

Danny Paul Deal “Papa”, Age 78 of Lakeside Village, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on December 16th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a very courageous 2-year battle with cancer. Danny was born March 29, 1947 in Waxahachie, Texas to Wilson “Dude” and Effie Irene Holleman Deal.

 Danny was a carpenter, after being taught the trade by his father. Work took him to Upstate New York for 8 years, before returning to Red Oak, Texas to raise his family. Danny worked in commercial construction, overseeing the building of many high rises that make up the Dallas skyline. For several years, Danny and his wife raised prize winning longhorns on their ranch in Ennis. Upon retirement, he sought an escape from the hustle and bustle of Dallas traffic and made a quiet life for him and his wife in Lakeside Village, overlooking beautiful Lake Whitney. 

 In his early years, Danny enjoyed the outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman. Ironically, in his later years, he found the most joy feeding his deer every morning, even having several generations of deer come to the food trough he built. His carpentry skills were put to good use, making birdhouses for friends and neighbors.

Remaining to cherish Danny’s memory are his wife, Margie, children, Kimberley Webb (Clark), Karen Pepe (David), grandchildren Blake, Ashton, Carsyn, Brooke and Keri. Great-grandchildren, Luke, Audrey and Adrien. Danny also leaves behind a sister, Barbara Huddle of Waxahachie and a brother, Ricky Deal of Milford, as well as several cousins, nieces a nephew, friends, and neighbors whom he loved like family.

Preceding Danny in death are his parents, Wilson and Irene Deal and his brother Donald Deal.

Danny’s wishes were for a private ceremony to be held at a later date.
