David was born on October 3, 1945 in Fort Worth. As a young child David's adventurous side became known. It was common knowledge that if you told him not to do a particular thing he would do just that to prove that he could. Like putting bullets in a pressure cooker, or going to the beach while the tide was out and ruining his shoes. David joined the Navy in 1963 and proudly served aboard the USS Fort Marion for 3 years. David was a proud veteran that served during the Vietnam era. He loved the adventure of traveling, and was fortunate to attend Woodstock in 1969. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting him you knew he carried the message of peace and good music with hum for the remainder of his life. David drove a truck for Thompson-Hayworth for many years before moving back to Fort Worth. David loved to fish and tinker with his numerous Volkswagens and his old 10 speed bicycle. He had a vast knowledge about Fort Worth history and could answer any question you might have. If he did not know the answer he could do his research until he found out. David had an extensive collection of albums that he treasured, with Jimi Hendrix being his absolute favorite. David will be missed by all that knew him.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Catherine Davis; brother, Donnie Davis; sisters, Doris Neystel and Cathy Ann Davis; loving cat, Precious; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his father, William Daniel Davis; brothers, William Daniel (Dub) Davis, Jr., Richard Lee Davis and Richard Barker.
