Debra Jean Barree, 56, of Meridian and formerly of San Saba, passed away Sunday morning, the 6th of November, 2016 after her battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Thursday, the 10th of November, at the Bosque County Cowboy Church, Hwy. #6, between Clifton and Meridian with Pastor Tater Paschall officiating. The visitation will be from 10:00 A. M. until service time on Thursday at the Bosque County Cowboy Church. Pallbearers will be Chris Barree, Jeremy Barree, Chris DeChaume, Roy Crawford, Ronnie Kelley, and Timothy Barree. Honorary Pallbearers will be Seth Barree, Tyler Faichtinger, and Zach Barree.

Debra was born on the 26th of October, 1960 in New Gulf, Texas to Albert and Mary C. Harvell Barree. She graduated from San Saba High School in 1980. Debra loved the outdoors. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Debra loved her family with all of her heart, and although she never had children of her own, she was a mother to many. Debra was employed at the Granbury WalMart where she was a delicatessen clerk.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Barree of San Saba; sisters, Charlotte Kelley and husband, Lawrence, of Meridian, Sherry Barree of San Saba, and Traci McWhirter and husband, Ronald, of Artesia, New Mexico; brothers, Buster Barree of Meridian and Darrell Barree of Teague; nine nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Ms. Barree was preceded in death by her father, Albert Barree, on February 19, 2001.
