Earlene Baker Johnson, age 94, of Hewitt, Texas and a former long time resident of Walnut Springs, Texas passed away early Wednesday morning at a Hewitt nursing facility.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:30 A.M., at the Walnut Springs Baptist Church with Brady Dempsey officiating. Burial followed at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. The visitation was from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M., Friday, May 8, 2015 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.
Mrs. Johnson's pallbearers were: Wayne Blue, Bryant Eddy, Mike Huffman, Bryce Bartlett, Brady Dempsey, Jerry Caldwell, Charles Gilbreath, and Lonnie Halbert.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Brenda Mosier and husband, Emmett, of Hewitt; grandson, Matt Mosier and wife, Erin, of Norman, Oklahoma; great-grandsons, Cade and Carter; great-granddaughter, Cambrie Mae; step-son: Warren Johnson and wife, Susan; step-granddaughter, Rebecca Bartlett and husband, Bryce, and son Thatcher; brothers, Lee Roy Cosper of Weatherford, Pete Cosper of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Tooter Cosper of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many nephews and nieces, three of whom were like daughters, Carolyn Eddy, Connie Heath, and Lynn Lee.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Baker in 1990; she later married Baynard Johnson and he passed away in 2007; her son, Father James Ronald Baker, died in 2012. Also a very special sister, Billie Chesshire Miller.
