Edward Earl Kelsey

Crowley, Texas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Earl Kelsey, who peacefully left us on Thursday, February 8th, 2024. He was born on March 22, 1941. He lived a life filled with unwavering dedication, love, and passion. 

Graveside funeral services will take place 2 P.M. Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.

A proud Vietnam veteran, he served his country with honors and bravery, embodying the true spirit of sacrifice. His commitment to duty and service extended beyond the battlefield, as he continued to serve as a dedicated security guard, safeguarding those around him. He was not only a defender of his country but also a devoted father to his cherished daughter. His love  and guidance were constant sources of strength and inspiration, shaping her into the remarkable person she is today. He found joy in Nascar, Skip-Bo, and westerns. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, strength, and enduring spirit will live on in the memories of those he leaves behind. 

Left to cherish his memories; Daughter; Desiree Nesdall, sister; Sue Carter, brother; Garland Kelsey, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by; his parents James and Linder Kelsey, brothers; Earnest Kelsey, WB Kelsey, sisters; Samantha Phillips, Sarah Gerdes, Joyce Houilhan, Margaret Ziegler, Barbara LeJeune. 

In honoring his memory, let us cherish the moments we shared and find comfort in the knowledge that his legacy of love and courage will continue to guide us in the days ahead. 

Rest in peace, Earl. Your journey may have come to an end, but your spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
