George Leo Wockenfuss, age 73, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 12, 2014, at his residence after an extended illness.
Family graveside funeral services were held at Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell at 2:00 P. M., Friday, February 14, 2014.
Mr. Wockenfuss was born Oct. 24, 1940, in Germany where he was raised. He married Darlene Veach in 1989. George worked for many years as a crane operator in the oil fields.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Wockenfuss, of Meridian and a number of other relatives.
