Glenda Wimberly Gardner

Nov 28, 1940 — Oct 3, 2026

College Station

Glenda Wimberly Gardner, age 85, of College Station, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on October 3, 2026. Surrounded by her three loving daughters, she was called home to be with her Heavenly Father.

Born on November 28, 1940, in Meridian, Texas, Glenda was the daughter of Cliff Gardner and Josephine Baxter Fenton. She was a devoted member of Christ Church of College Station.

Glenda had a warm, passionate spirit and an artist’s heart. She saw beauty in the world around her and had a special gift for bringing that beauty to life. Through her paintings, she shared her creativity, imagination, and love of color with everyone who entered her home. Her artwork brightened the spaces it adorned, but more importantly, it reflected the joy and beauty she carried within her. Her family will treasure her paintings as lasting pieces of the woman she was—creative, expressive, and full of life.

Her love of beauty also found expression in her gardening. She poured time, patience, and care into her garden, creating a place that reflected her artistic eye and nurturing spirit. Whether she was painting on a canvas or tending to something growing in the earth, Glenda had a remarkable ability to create beauty and make the world around her a little more joyful.

Above all, Glenda’s greatest devotion was to her family. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Knudson and husband Bruce of College Station, Texas; Cathy Williams of Canton, Texas; and Pam Siebenthall and husband Steve of Fort Worth, Texas.

Glenda adored her eight grandchildren—Nathan, Garrett, Jason, Ashley, Colby, Travis, Samantha, and Nicole. She was especially proud of her eleven great-grandchildren, whom she lovingly called her “grands.” Her family was her greatest source of joy, and the love she gave them will continue through generations.

She is also survived by her sister, Suzan Gardner Corcoran, and her nephew, Terry Corcoran, of Fort Worth.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 24, 2026, at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian, Texas. Visitation will be from 1:00–2:00 p.m., with the service following at 2:00 p.m.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of kindness, prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time.

Glenda leaves behind more than paintings and a beautiful garden. She leaves behind a legacy of creativity, love, faith, and family—a life in which she continually found ways to create beauty and share it with others. Her art, her garden, and most of all, the love she gave so freely, will remain a lasting part of the lives she touched.
