Glenda Lee Guidry age 81, of Morgan passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at her residence in Morgan.
Per Ms. Guidry's requests she will be cremated and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
Glenda was born on May 31, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Sydney A. and Vida Gray Guidry. The family moved to Fort Worth in 1945. While on Earth Glenda was with S.W.B.T. for 15 years and attended TCJC and Brantley-Draughn Business School. She owned the Town and County Pet Center and Springtown Home Gifts. Glenda was a licensed Rehabilitator with Texas Parks and Wild Life. Glenda and her partner Mary Thannisch raised and showed champion and companion dogs under their name, Glyn-Mar Rotweilers. Later she and Mary moved to Morgan, Texas where Glenda served on the City Council and was also elected Mayor. Glenda spent over 20 years in the Medical Administrative Clerical field. She always said her best job was with Fort Worth Urology when it was on Pennsylvania Ave. They were wonderful people.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Xiong for his kind care and Rebecca and Ronda with Lutheran Sunset Hospice for their kindness and great care of Glenda.
Left to cherish her memories are her nieces, Susan Marbut of Alvarado, Pamela Pinkerton of Idaho; sister-in-law, Carolyn Guidry of Covington; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Vida Gray Guidry; sisters, Vida Louise and Betty Sue Guidry; brothers, Sydney and Joe Guidry; step-mother, Mary Sue Guidry; and partner, Mary Thannisch.
