Hollis Harkcom

Hollis Edward Harkcom, Jr. age 67 of Kopperl, passed away on May 13, 2017 at his residence in Kopperl.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Kopperl Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Tom Henderson officiating. Pallbearers will be George Harkcom, Charlie Harkcom, Hollis Harkcom, III, Tracey Newman, Kasey Suggs, and Burl McFarland.

Hollis Edward Harkcom, Jr. was born on August 15, 1949 in San Francisco, California to Hollis Edward Harkcom, Sr. and Neva Elaine McArthur. He married Julia Kay Henley on September 30, 1967 in Glen Rose, Texas. Hollis was an Automotive Mechanic most of his working career.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, George L. Harkcom of Arlington, Hollis E. Harkcom, III, of Kopperl, Charlie Harkcom and wife, Marissa, of Waco; daughters, Marie E. Harkcom of Kopperl, Amy N. Pickett of Kopperl; 2 grandchildren; sister, Margaret Deleel of New Braunfels; brother, Finis Lee Harkcom of Rio Grande City; numerous other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Kay Henley Harkcom on March 7, 2016.
