March 26, 1999 — February 8, 2015

Jacob M. "Bubba" Mata, age 15, of Clifton, passed away early Sunday morning, February 8, 2015, as a result of a tragic auto accident near Waco.

A Memorial Funeral Service was held Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Clifton High School Gymnasium with Sharon Bergman and Coach R.J. Bacon conducting the service.

Bubba was born March 26, 1999, in Clifton, Texas. He grew up in Clifton and was attending Clifton High School where he was in the 10th grade. Bubba was very active in all school activities, especially sports and football. In his spare time he helped his father, Freddy, in the home construction and painting business.

He is survived by his parents, Jane Mata and Freddy Mata, both of Clifton; his sister, Jasmine Mata and brother-in-law, Miguel Martinez, of Clifton; siblings, Clarissa Mendez, Sydney Mendez, and Jakob Mendez; aunts and uncles, Marty Kelly, Prema and Chris Wilson, Lucillo Mata; grandparents, Arthur and Debra Kelly and Jose and Fransisca Mata; nieces and nephews, Bryan Martinez, Blake and Reithen Kelly, and Kendyl Wilson; numerous other family members and many friends.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Jacob Mata Scholarship Fund, c/o First Bank and Trust P.O. Box 547 Whitney, Texas, 76692.
