James Rose

James T. "Bud" Rose, 92, of Morgan, Texas passed away on Saturday afternoon, October 15, 2016 in Clifton, Texas.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M., Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Morgan Cemetery, Morgan, Texas with Rev. Don Caldwell officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:30 P. M. at Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas, prior to the graveside service.

Mr. Rose was born February 14, 1924 in Morgan, Texas to William Thomas and Mary Jane Heath Rose. After graduating from high school and working for his father he was inducted into the United States Navy and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945. Mr. Rose became a surveyor and worked for the U. S. Corp of Engineers for many years. On November 18, 1970 he married Donna Marie Bishop and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2013.

Mr. Rose is survived by his children, Darnell Kimbell and husband, Bud, of Morgan and Pat Knowles and husband, Ronnie, also of Morgan; grandchildren, Kim Norton and husband, Randy, of Morgan and Kirk Knowles and wife, Pam, of Morgan; great-grandchildren, Rance and Randa Norton and Krissy and Brandon Knowles; great-great-grandchild, Kaylee; and sisters, Jean Riggins of Hurst and Dixie Wilson of Waco.
