Jo Gibson

Jo Ann Gibson, age 77, of Meridian, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 14, 2015, in the Goodall-Witcher Nursing Facility in Clifton where she had resided for the past 2 years.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 16, 2015, in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs with Rev. Richard Creech officiating.

Jo Ann was born February 28, 1938, in Walnut Springs, Texas. She was a daughter of the late Tommy Watson Nickell and LaVerne Mildred Massey Nickell.

On May 12, 1975, she was united in marriage to Loba Wayne Gibson in Stephenville, Texas. The couple lived in Lampasas for several years. After the death of her husband, in 1990, she moved to Meridian in 1995. Jo Ann worked for 32 years as a L.V.N. before retiring.

She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Bell of Clifton and Tommie Lou Corley of Waco; brothers, Bill Nickell of Duncanville and Jerry L. Nickell of Winfield, Kansas; number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
