Johnnie Sue (Ammons) Sowders

Sue Sowders age 75 of Stephenville, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 in Waco, Texas.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Rev. Keith Ashcraft will officiate. Burial will be in the Morgan Cemetery in Morgan, Texas. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M., Friday, November 9, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Daniel Jones, Chasen Sowders, Jaren Brooks, Chad Reynolds, Doug Swiney, and Kevin Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Logan Hilderbrand and Kaleb Osborne.

Johnnie Sue Ammons was born on November 15, 1942 in Waco, Texas to Johnny Young and Irma Griffin Ammons.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Carla Tate, Monica Gage and husband, Tim, Gary Sowders and wife, Vicky; grandchildren, Laura Brooks, Rebecca Dominguez, Daniel Jones and wife, Ashley, Gena Lovel and husband, Shane, Chasen Sowders and wife, Scout, Maci Sowders; great-grandchildren, Jaren Brooks, Regan Brooks, Chad Reynolds, Logan Hilderbrand, Neva Lovel, Kaleb Osborne; sister, Carolyn Smith and husband, Rodger; number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Young and Irma Griffin Ammons; sisters, Bobbie Brunson, Brenda Wulf; brother, Mike Ammons; son, Jeffrey Glenn Sowders; husband, Thomas "Glenn" Sowders; and son-in-law, Mike Tate.
