Joy West

December 20, 1938 — April 19, 2014

Joy Nabors West,of 75, of Meridian, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2014, in the Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the home of Benny and Peggy Ice, 710 PR #746, Stephenville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glen Rose Cemetery Assn., c/o Becky Ice, P.O. Box 504, Glen Rose, Texas, 76043 or the Glen Rose Volunteer Fire Department.

Joy was born Dec. 20, 1938, in Cleburne, Texas. She worked for several years as the assistance secretary for a Somervell County Justice of the Peace.

She is survived by her daughters, Carli Byerly of Glen Rose and Cristi Nichels and husband, Brad, of Glen Rose; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marshall Nabors of Glen Rose and a sister, Paula Fletcher of Granbury;
numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kay Nabors and Winnie Mae Davis Nabors; a son, Marvin West and a sister, Kim Nabors Young.
