Judy Johnston Blassingame

Judy Johnston Blassingame, a beloved family matriarch and community member, peacefully passed away on April 28, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on July 6, 1947, in Clifton, Texas, Judy embraced life with a spirit that was both down to earth and vibrant. She was a proud graduate of High School in Arlington Heights in Fort Worth, Texas, and carried the values and friendships from her formative years throughout her life.

Professionally, Judy dedicated several years to serving as a Clerk for Skaggs Alphabeta and later as an Attendance Clerk for Fort Worth Independent School District. Her commitment to her work and the community exemplified her nurturing nature and dedication to service.

Judy was a person who wore her heart on her sleeve. She loved to fish, especially at the coast, where she found solace and joy. She was also passionate about traveling, exploring new places with zest. Above all, Judy cherished spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and embracing every moment spent with those she loved. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was known for her candid expressions of love and support for them.

Judy is survived by her husband, Orval David Blassingame; her son, Jimmy Judkins; her daughter, Selena Davis and husband, Patrick; and her son, Jay Blassingame, along with his wife, Denise. Judy's legacy also lives on through her three beloved grandchildren; Tori, Johnny, and Morgan.

Judy is preceded in death by her father, Louie Johnston, and her sister, Sherry Johnston.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Judy's life during a graveside service at Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas, on May 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Judy will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, loving heart, and the profound impact she had on all who knew her.
