Julia Harkcom

Julia Kay Harkcom, age 67, of Kopperl passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at her residence in Kopperl.

Graveside funeral services were at 2:00 P.M., Friday March 11, 2016 at the Kopperl Cemetery in Kopperl, Texas with Rev. Dr. Tom Henderson officiating. A viewing only from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M., Thursday March 10, 2016 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Pallbearers were George Harkcom, Charlie Harkcom, Hollis Harkcom, III, Tommy Woods, Michael Allen, and James Allen.

Julia was born on April 12, 1948 in Chico, Texas to Raymond Cole and Ruby Jewel Woods Henley. She married Hollis Harkcom, Jr. on September 30, 1967 in Glen Rose, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Hollis E. Harkcom, Jr. of Kopperl; sons, George L. Harkcom of Arlington, Hollis E. Harkcom, III, of Kopperl, Charlie Harkcom and wife, Marissa, of Kopperl; daughters, Marie E. Harkcom of Kopperl, Amy N. Pickett of Kopperl; 2 grandchildren; sister, Sharron R. Allen and husband, James, of Joshua; brother, Tommy R. Woods and wife, Shirley, of Granbury; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
