Justin Dewayne Young

Justin Dewayne Young, a beloved son, father, brother, partner, and friend, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Meridian, Texas. 

Funeral services will take place at 10 A.M., Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Bosque County Cowboy Church in Meridian. Pastor Tater Paschal will officiate. Burial will follow at the Morgan Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M., Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. 

Born on October 18, 1991, in Clifton, Texas, Justin was a dynamic and outgoing individual. After graduating from Meridian High School in 2010, Justin channeled his passion for the outdoors into a successful career, owning and operating R&J Lawn and Tree Service. His commitment to hard work was matched only by his love for hunting and fishing, which he often enjoyed alongside his family and friends.

Justin is survived by his parents, Jim and Missy Young; his son, Rylan Young; his brother, Zak Young and wife Traci; his nephew, Ryker Young; partner, Regan Ledbetter; aunts, Jackie Robinson and husband Eric, and Paula Cummings and husband Adam, as well as his paternal grandmother, Linda Young, and husband Butch Wooley. In addition, Justin leaves behind numerous other relatives and many friends who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mack Young, and his maternal grandparents, Marion and Mary Ann Kirton.

 Justin's spirit and zest for life touched so many, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
