Kim, daughter, wife, sister, “Aunt Kimmie” YaYa was born in Hillsboro Texas June 12, 1964. She passed peacefully at home on October 27, 2025.
After graduating from Walnut Springs High School, Kim worked at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant. She worked for Somervell County for the past 12 1/2 years where she developed a special bond with all the people she worked with. She loved to spend time with family and friends. She was an amazing country and western dancer. She taught lots of people to two step. She has been described by many as one of the sweetest people they knew. She loved big and gave the best hugs. Her memory for numbers and dates was impressive. She remembered everyone’s birthday. She enjoyed giving special gifts to her loved ones.
November 11, 2015, Kim married her love, Richard “T-bone” Freeland. She was so happy to be a bonus mom to Katie. Her most cherished moments were when she became a grandmother “YaYa” to Levi and Lawson.
Kim is survived by her husband Richard Freeland, stepdaughter Katie Freeland, grandsons Levi and Lawson, parents Larry & Lana Jackson, sister Malissa and husband Wade Busch, nephew Spencer and wife Cerissa Busch, great niece Veci Rincon, niece Lynlee and husband Trey Yocham, great niece Landry. Kim is preceded in death by her grandparents Walter and Lucille Jackson, Julian and Burnalee Moore.
A celebration of life will be held on November 8, 2025 at 2:00 at Glen Rose First Methodist Church, Glen Rose, Texas.
