Kurt Lee Davis

September 15, 1969 — October 17, 2025

Midlothian

Kurt Lee Davis, 56, a fun-loving, faith-filled Christian man born on September 15, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on October 17, 2025. He was a steadfast servant of God who led many others to Christ through his words, actions, and spirit.

After graduating from Mansfield High School in 1988, he attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas and played college baseball for a couple of years. One evening, Kurt felt he was being led somewhere else and he packed his bags to head home to his mom and dad’s. A few months passed and his mom motivated him to get a job at Portion Control. He grew bored of being a meat lineman and worked himself up to being a supervisor of the soup department, which just so happened to be where his wife, Lucy, was working at the time. They soon fell in love and on February 5, 1994, Kurt was united in marriage to Lucy in Fort Worth, Texas. He became a proud, dedicated father of two children, Alex Rojas and Brittany Davis.

God was always with Kurt. He knew God was leading him to something greater and that path was becoming a police officer for the City of Euless. Kurt would tell his family that he knew he was where he was supposed to be when he became an officer because God made it to where he had the right amount of college credits to apply and he had the supervisor experience to know how to command the room. For over 27 years he served his city with honor and integrity, it was a tough job, but he was proud to be a brother in blue and would often speak of his comrades.

If you knew Kurt, you would know that he loved chatting and getting to know you. He was incredibly witty, goofy, and he was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, and grandpappy.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy, of Midlothian; children, Alex Rojas and wife, Jennifer, of Euless, and Brittany Davis and her fiancé, Blake Hall, of Midlothian and of Keller; two grandchildren, Sebastian Rojas and Brooklyn Rojas of Euless; his mom, Jean Davis, of Iredell; his siblings and in-laws, Ken Davis and wife, Kelly, of Iredell, Kelly Hodge and husband, Greg, of Midland, and Kristy Gephart of Iredell; numerous cherished nieces and nephews, other relatives, comrades, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Davis and his brother in law, Mike Gephart.
