Linda Sue Friedsam

With deep love and heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Linda Sue Friedsam, born October 14, 1947, in Houston, Texas, and passed on April 4, 2026, in Copperas Cove, Texas, surrounded by her family.

Linda was truly one of a kind. She was feisty, funny, loving, and never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind—and that’s exactly what made her so special. You always knew where you stood with her, and you always knew you were loved.

She found joy in the little things—time with family, good conversations, laughter, and of course, her Lipton iced tea. Being a grandmother was one of her proudest roles, and she loved her family with everything she had.

Linda lived boldly and authentically. She taught us to stand strong, love deeply, and be unapologetically ourselves.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hildreth W. Barnes; father, Harold B. Barnes Jr.; husband, John R. Friedsam; and brother-in-law, Donald W. Jackson Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Carl and husband Kenny Waldroup, daughter, Rhonda Lynne Friedsam; grandchildren, Jami M. Friedsam, Tara M. Ivy, and Cooper A. Ivy; great-grandchildren, Jayci and Journi Cavanaugh, and Baby Ivy on the way; her brother, Harold B. Barnes, III, and wife Lisa Simonetta; her sister, Barbara N. Jackson; her niece, Shelley J. Jackson; her nephew, Donald W. Jackson Jr. and wife Kristina; as well as her great-nephews and their families.

Her memory will forever be a blessing, and her love will remain in our hearts always.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11 A.M., at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Following the service a reception will be held at 596 PR 4201, Cranfills Gap, Texas 76637.
