Lula Patrick

Lula Bell Patrick, age 85, of Iredell, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, at her residence.

Graveside services will be Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas with Mike Hannah officiating. Visitation will take place from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.

Lula was born July 18, 1929,near Iredell, Texas and was raised and educated there. She was a homemaker and also worked for the Iredell I.S.D. as a substitute teacher for several years. She was a member of the Iredell First Baptist Church and a former member of the Iredell V.F. W. Auxillary. She married Billy Patrick on April 6, 1971 and he passed away on February 15, 2003.

Pallbearers will be Brad Owen, Jamie Ramsey, Jeremy Shields, Ryan Shields, Jody Shields, Joey Wellborn.

She is survived by her daughter: Patsy Owen and husband, Larry of Iredell; grandchild: Regina Wellborn and husband, Joel; great-grandchildren: Sheldon and Taylor Wellborn; grandchild: Brad Owen and wife, Keri; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Hannah, and Hinley Owen; daughter: Jimmie Ramsey of Iredell; grandchild: Jamie Ramsey and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchild: Renee` Ramsey; grandchild: Wendy Gephart and husband, Robbie; great-grandchildren: Emily, Michael, Avery, and Alexas Gephart; son: Hobby Shields of Iredell; grandchildren: Bobby Shields, Jeremy Shields; great-grandchildren: Payton, Billy, Brandon, and Arber Shields; grandchild: Ryan Shields and wife, Helen; great-grandchildren: Mia, and Justin Shields; son: Joe Shields and wife, Lana of Dallas; grandchild: Jody Shields and wife, Mary; great-grandchildren: Carson Shields, Kayla Powell; grandchild: Jana Tadlock and husband, Jasper; and great-grandchild: Colton Tadlock.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Billy Patrick; brothers; Luther, James, Clifford Adkinson, Buck Marrow; sisters; Mae Hinsley, Nettie Hoddnett, Ruby Parson; her parents, Andrew Jackson and Callie Etta Adkison; and a grandson: Justin Day.
