Mary Beth (Pope) Jones

Mary Beth Jones, age 90, of Meridian, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.

Mary was born October 20, 1927, in Westbrook, Texas.  She was a daughter of the late Rex Foy Pope and Ineva Watts Pope.  Mary attended Texas Womens College in Denton.

On October 14, 1948 she married H. M. Jones, Jr. in Stephenville, Texas.  The couple lived in various parts of the country while her husband was in the armed services. She lived in Lubbock until moving to Meridian in 1978.  Mary was a very active and faithful member of the Meridian First United Methodist Church, volunteered at Meridian Helping Hands and Treasure Chest, and a member of Meridian Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Jones of Meridian and several other relatives.
