Mary Ellen Newman, age 99, of Morgan, peacefully passed away on May 6th, 2024, surrounded by love.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian, Texas. Interment will be at the Kopperl Cemetery in Kopperl, Texas.
Born on September 7th, 1924, she lived a life defined by warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlie Newman; her father John Miller and her mother Elizabeth Williams Miller; 4 sisters; and 4 brothers.
She is survived by her loving children, Kathaleen Archer and Bo Newman, who brought her endless joy. At her bedside was her devoted daughter, Kathaleen. Mary Ellen leaves behind a legacy cherished by her grandchildren: Wayne, Billy, Travis, Tracy, Kary, and Gale, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring spirit. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
