Mary Paulson

Mary Ruth Paulson, age 88, of Cranfills Gap, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in a Hamilton nursing facility.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 26, 2016 at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Cranfills Gap. Rev. Herb Lammert will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Olaf Rock Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Pallbearers will be Will Paulson, Ricky Paulson, Christopher Paulson, Mark Paulson, and Sidney Paulson.

Mary Ruth Paulson was born November 4, 1926 on her grandparents farm 5 miles west of Meridian to Pete and Selma Amundson Paulson. She attended school in Meridian. She married Chris Matthew Paulson, Jr. on February 4, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Norse.

She is survived by her children, Mike Paulson of Hamilton, Stephen Paulson of Temple, Randy Paulson and wife, Laurie, of Cranfills Gap; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, John Paulson of Clifton; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Chris M. Paulson, Jr.; parents, Pete and Selma Paulson; sisters, Stella May, Gladys Lee, Josie Rydel; brother, Ovie Paulson; and a daughter, Christi Darlene Nations.
