Maxie Ruth Page,94, of Morgan, and the widow of former Bosque County Judge, E. W. "Pete" Page, passed away Sunday evening, August 17, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Page were held at 10:30 A. M., Wednesday, August 20th at the Kopperl United Methodist Church in Kopperl with Rev. Allen Goss and Rev. Kent Berry officiating. Interment was in the Meridian Cemetery, Meridian, Texas. Visitation was from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M., Tuesday evening at Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian. Pallbearers were Brady Little, Travis Page, Ron Dawson, Jim Dawson, Jack Rowland, Dan Evans, Larry Wheeler, and Tim Little.

Mrs. Page was born November 5, 1919 in Iredell, Texas to Frankie Howard Dawson and Blanche M. Washam Dawson. She was raised and educated in Bosque County and after her education was completed, she met and married Earl Wilson "Pete" Page on May 16, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. After marriage the couple farmed and ranched, raised their family, and became very active in community and civic affairs. Later, after Mr. Page became Bosque County Judge, they were involved in activities county wide and often traveled to meetings around the state for county judges and representing Bosque County. Mrs. Page was also an active member of the Kopperl United Methodist Church, participating in choir, Bible studies, United Methodist Women, and served on many committees.

Survivors include her daughter, Maxanne Little and husband, Tim, of Abilene and
her son, Shuler page and wife, Denise, of Austin; grandchildren, Travis Page, Whitney Little, Kelsey Little, Brady Little, Emily Patterson and Laura Ritchie; great-grandchildren, Luke Patterson and Ryan Elizabeth Ritchie.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frankie Howard Dawson and Blanche M. Washam Dawson; her husband, E. W. "Pete" Page; her sister, Delpha Yates; and her brother, Harold Dawson.

The family requests that memorials in memory of Maxie be made to the Kopperl United Methodist Church, P.O Box 39, Kopperl, Texas, 76652.
