Michael Steven Gray

Michael “Mike” Steven Gray, beloved son of Rose “Rosie” and stepson of Wallace “Buster,” passed away on August 11, 2025, in Clifton, Texas from congestive heart failure at the age of 58.

Born in Clovis, New Mexico, Mike was preceded in death by his father, Steven A. Gray, along with his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. He is survived by his mother, Rosie, his stepfather, Buster, several aunts and uncles, and two brothers.

Mike was a gifted computer genius who built a career in IT security with Fortune 500 companies until health challenges led him into disability. Beyond his professional life, he had a deep love for music, children, animals, and the elderly. He often volunteered at shelters and visited nursing homes, bringing joy by sharing iPods filled with golden oldies music.

When transferred to California, Mike discovered a new passion—the ocean—which became a place of peace and beauty for him. In honor of this, his ashes will be sprinkled into the Pacific Ocean during a private ceremony near San Diego through San Diego Burial at Sea.

To further honor his memory, they will also plant a tree in a California National Forest, as a living tribute that will continue to grow and flourish as he did in the hearts of those who knew him.
