Minnie May Hodges Lambert age 82 of Shiner, passed away on November 21, 2016 in a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 25, 2016 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian. Rev. Richard Creech will officiate. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Wealthy Cemetery near Normangee, Texas with Bro. Freddy Burden officiating. Visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. until service time on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian. Pallbearers will be Jason Rushing, Brandon Rushing, Eric Posri, Steven Bell, Charles Nelson, and EdwardMaddox.

Minnie May Hodges was born on November 10, 1934 in Hearne, Texas to Elvis Robert and Bessie Erwin Hodges. She met and married Charles Ray Lambert in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved all of her children with all of her heart. She loved to sew quilts and spending time sitting on the front porch. She was smiling when God came to take her home. She will be missed by so many. Minnie was a Med Aide most of her working career before her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Suzan Lambert Bell and husband, Steven, of Meridian, Serena Rushing and husband, Ronnie, of Kopperl, Carol Ibarra of Cleburne; grandchildren, Melinda Kacir and husband, Jonathan, of Shiner, Heather Rhodes and husband, Will, of Alvarado, Edward Maddox of Cleburne, Jason Rushing of Kopperl, Benjamin Rushing of Lakeside Village, Brandon Rushing of Austin, Joshua Rushing of Hillsboro, Eric Posri of Meridian, Billy Ray Waldrop of Shiner; a number of great-grandchildren; sister, Bell Copeland of Shiner; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Lambert; parents, Elvis Robert and Bess Erwin Hodges; children, Angie Lambert, Sherri Lambert, and Charles Lambert.
