Myrna Roedell

Myrna Suzanne Roedell, age 76, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday morning, April 29, 2014, in a Ft. Worth hospital.

A memorial service was held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 2, 2014, in the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Glen Rose. Her cremated remains will be buried in California at a later date.

The family requests that memorials be made to the North Bosque Helping Hands, P.O. Box 274, Meridian, Texas; Somervell County Food Bank, P.O. Box 3114, Glen Rose, Texas, 76043; or Religious Education, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 404 Mesquite, Glen Rose, Texas, 76043.

Myrna was born Oct. 19, 1937, in Dallas, Texas. She worked for several years as a secretary for the State of California. On Dec. 21, 1956, she was united in marriage to Leon Roedell in San Diego, California. She had served with the U. S. Navy.

She is survived by her husband, Leon, of Meridian; children, Patrick and Lala Roedell of Wichita Falls, Gregory and Kristi Roedell of Alpine, California, Myrna Suzanne Roedell and Veronica(Blue) O'Brian of Salinas, California; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Melissa West of Ft. Worth and Pamela Avance of Meridian;
brother, Dr. Mike Swindle of Marshall, North Carolina; numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Roedell and several of her siblings.
