Pat Whitt, age 78, of Morgan, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 3, 2016,, in a Glen Rose nursing facility.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 6, 2016, in the Walnut Springs Baptist Church with Rev. T.J. Joyner officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery near Walnut Springs.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, also in the Walnut Springs Baptist Church.

Pat was born August 15, 1937, in Jacksboro, Texas. She was a daughter of the late Curtis Debs Reece and Frances Lara Stump Reece. Pat married Eddie M. Whitt on Sept. 2, 1955, in Coleman, Texas. She was a graduate of the Goodall-Witcher School of Nursing in Clifton and worked for many years as a LVN in various hospitals and nursing facilities.

She is survived by her sons, Curtis "Shorty" Whitt and wife, Janie, of Kerrville, Patrick Whitt and wife, Tracy, of Midlothian and Lewayne Whitt and wife, Sandy, of Whitewright; Daughter-in-law, Tracy Whitt, of Walnut Springs; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob Reece and wife, Janice, of Euless, James Reece and wife, Nancy, of Roanoke; number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Whitt, in 2013; a son, Ted "Bear" Whitt in 2014; her parents, Curtis and Frances Stump Reece and a sister, Vivia Brannan.
