Patricia Ruth Jones was born on January 7, 1940 in Lubbock, Texas to Hughlun Carl Jones and Tommye Styles. She was the oldest of their three children. She grew up in Lubbock and attended Lubbock schools. She married James Kenneth Boswell on September 6, 1958 in Lubbock. They had their first child Donna in November of 1959 and their second child Teena in November of 1968. They continued to live in Lubbock until 1977. Then they packed up and moved to Meridian in the summer of 1977, taking her mother with her. There, she and her husband took over a heat and air business. Over the years she helped her husband with the business and many other businesses, such as a service station and coin laundry. Pat eventually decided to start her own business and opened a fabric store. She loved to sew and sewed many clothes for herself and her children. After selling the fabric store she decided to start another venture, the bakery business. She loved to bake and was very good at it. Pat was well known in town for her soft teacake cookies. Her first passion was always being a stay at home mom. She was always at both of her kid's activities whether it be at school, church or anywhere else. She was also a member and very involved in her church activities at the First Baptist Church in Meridian. Everyone that knew her knew how much she loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids. Her grandkids loved their Nena and Charlsie called her Nana very much. Unfortunately around nine years ago dementia took over her life and she had to go into a nursing facility. Dementia took alot from her but it did not take her memory of her family. She remembered them until the end. Pat still had her stubbornness and desire to still do things by herself which helped her until the end. She loved her friends, especially the staff, resident and other resident's families at the nursing facility and was very loved there. She attended every single activity that they had and was a very good bingo player. Her favorite thing was listening to people who came to the nursing facility that played instruments and sang songs. She also loved her visits from her family and especially all the cookies and candy that they brought her. We will miss her very much but we are so happy she is at peace now. We will love you forever.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 59 years, James (Bos) Boswell of Meridian; daughters, Donna Eubanks and husband, Billy, of Teague, Teena Head and husband, Charles, of Meridian; grandsons, Canon Paulson and wife, Kristan, of Meridian, Billy and Braxton Head both of Meridian; granddaughters, Charlsie and Carsyn Head both of Meridian; great-grandchildren, Paisley and Mason Paulson both of Meridian; step-granddaughter, Kaitlan Head of Waco; sister, Barbara Williams and husband, Bobby, of Lubbock; brother, Jessie Carl Jones of Burnet; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family would like to thank the Goodall-Witcher Nursing facility and their very loving staff that made her feel like family and the many volunteers at the nursing home that loved her and that she enjoyed seeing each week. The ladies at the First Baptist Church in Meridian who came to see her every week, Lawson Funeral Home, and also Clifton Lutheran Sunset Ministries Hospice.
