Ramona Marquez

Ramona Hernandez Marquez,, age 73, of Meridian, passed away at a Waco hospice care facility on Saturday, February 4, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, Feb.7, 2017, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steven Daywitt, Rev. James Webb and Rev. J. D. Coslett will officiate. Burial will be in the Meridian Cemetery.

Ramona was born in Meridian, Texas, on Sept. 12, 1943, a daughter of the late Felix Hernandez and Lucy Gloria Hernandez. She attended school in Meridian. Ramona had lived all of her life in Meridian. She was a member of the Meridian First United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her children, John Vargas and wife, Marie, of Green River, WYM., Job Marquez and wife Sherry of St.Louis, MO., Debbie Little and husband, Pat, of Meridian; grandchildren, Marc Vargas, Daniel, Emily, Alex, Gracie, Micah and Ava Marquez; Jordan Little, Jennifer & Ethan Myers, Aaron & Olivia Little; James Vaughn, John Vaughn, Mallorie & Andrew Ramirez, Victor Vargas, Danny Vargas and Mary Vargas; great-grandchild, Victoria Ramirez. Preceded in death by parents, Felix and Lucy Hernandez; children, Daniel Vargas and Ada Vargas Quiroga.
