Richard Lee Petty, Jr.

Richard (Ricky) Lee Petty, Jr., 40, of Cranfills Gap , Texas passed away on June 8, 2020.

Ricky was born in Clifton, Texas. Ricky graduated from Cranfills Gap High School. Ricky had many hobbies and interests. He loved to fish and hunt. Ricky provided the entertainment wherever  he went. He could always be counted on for a joke to brighten the mood. Ricky had a big heart and never met a stranger.

Ricky is survivied by his mother Betty Seelye of Valley Mills, TX, and his step-mother, Leslie Petty of Cranfills Gap, TX. Surviving siblings: his brother Chris Petty of Cranfills Gap, TX, Tanya Tergerson and husband, Aaron, of Gholson, TX; Shawna Ratliff and husband, John, of Cranfills Gap, TX; John (J.R.) Ivers of Blum, TX; Alanna Youngblood and husband, David, of Cranfills Gap, TX; and. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as two great-nieces and one great nephew.  Ricky also leaves behind a multitude of other family members and friends.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father Richard Petty, Sr., his sister Tina Petty, and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at the Turnersville Community Center on Saturday June 13, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.
