Steven Larry Elmore

Steven Larry Elmore of Lake Whitney passed away at his home on September 22nd. Born August 1, 1971 in Dallas, Tx, to Larry and Sue McKenzie Elmore, he grew up in Plano and Carrollton. He graduated from The Colony High School in 1991. In 1995 Steven married Gwen Hixon and they later moved to Cleveland, OH. There he worked as a chemical compounder at ELCO. Returning to Texas he worked at Aaron's Designs for ten years. With his parents he moved to the Lake Whitney area. He loved golf, water skiing, watching football, reality shows and playing video games. Most of all he loved his family. He was a tender hearted, kind and thoughtful individual who will be greatly missed.

Steven is predeceased by his father, John Larry Elmore, his grandparents John and Onetta Elmore, Dave and Lora McKenzie and his uncle Christy McKenzie. Left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather Sue and Roy McCullough, sister Sandy (Aaron) Wickware, stepsister Kelly Munguia and stepbrother Steven McCullough, nieces Ashley (Ryan) Posey, Tori (Avery) Audley, Jordan Jessup, nephews Mason (Lanie) Munguia and Morgan Munguia, great niece Marlee Munguia, great nephew Mylo Munguia and cousins Dianne and David McKenzie, Chris (Tawnia) Suggs, Laura (Jeremy) Orr, Ella, Daphne and Layla. He is also survived by his stepmother, Carla Elmore.

A celebration of life service is being held on Saturday, September 30th at 1:00 PM at Whitney Ridge Resort, 167 County Road 1710, Clifton, Tx 76634.
