Velma Elaine (Poole) Anderson

Velma Elaine Poole Anderson, age 91, of Cleburne and a former resident of Laguna Park near Clifton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 2, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in the Lawson Memorial Chapel in Walnut Springs, Texas.  Rev. T J Joyner will officiate. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service time.  Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Pallbearers will be Ricky Lively, Gary Anderson,Jr., Evan Bryan, Nick Fontenot, David Poole and John Bryan.

Velma was born April 30, 1927, in Brownsboro, Texas.  She was united in marriage to Warren Neal Anderson on March 22, 1946 in Dallas, Texas.  Mr. Warren preceded her in death on January 11, 1993.  Velma was a retired Registered Nurse.  She lived in Laguna Park for many years and moved to Cleburne 25 years ago.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn Neal Anderson of Cleburne and Gary  Lynn Anderson, Sr. and wife, Deborah, of Walnut Springs; grandchildren, Amy Bryan and husband, John, of Burleson, Gary Anderson, Jr. and wife, Crystal, of Walnut Springs, Jessica Fontenot and husband, Nick, of Cleburne;  great-grandchildren, Evan Bryan of Burleson, Olivia Bryan of Burleson, McKay Lynn Fontenot of Cleburne, Riely Fontenot of Cleburne; several other relatives and friends.
