Vera Sue Goains Jackson

Vera Sue Goains Jackson, age 35, of Meridian, passed away on Friday, June 29, as a result of a tragic traffic accident near Blum, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 5, in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Clifton.  Mr. Steve Walker will officiate.

Vera was born November 14, 1982, in Meridian.  She was a daughter of Karen Sue Philipp Goains and the late Jimmy William Goains. She grew up in the Meridian, Clifton and Iredell areas and lived in various places from Cleburne to South Carolina. Vera was a homemaker and was a Baptist. She was united in marriage to Jason Jackson on July 14, 2014.

She is survived by her mother, Karen Goains and her husband, Timothy Porter of Clifton; grandmother, Sue Philipp of Clifton; children, Amanda, Tyson, Heather, Ethan, Sandra and Michael Grubbs, Jr., all of Waco, Charlie and Dean Porter of Clifton; sister, Amy Johnson and husband, Kody, of Gatesville; brothers, Paul Dean of Ennis and Bobby Goains; step-sister, Elizabeth Olson and husband, Thayanne; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jason Jackson; unborn daughter, Destiny Star; father, Jimmy Goains; grandfathers, Werner Philipp and Vernon Goains; grandmother, Floy Goains, aunt; Sharon Philipp Shropshire.
