She was born in Iredell, Texas, to Amanda and Levi Weir. She graduated from Walnut Springs High School in 1959 and moved to Waco to study cosmetology. Ann worked as a cosmetologist in Clifton and Meridian for over 50 years. Her clientele, or ladies as she would call them, became her second family.
As a teen, Ann lived in Meridian across the street from R.L. Clark, her future husband. The two were introduced after Ann’s younger brother, Dean, told R.L. he would set them up if R.L. would take him fishing. Ann and R.L. were married July 22, 1961. They had two children.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Robyn Peeples of Meridian; grandson, J.C. Peeples of Brooklyn, New York; brothers, Thomas Weir of Morgan, and Dean Weir and wife, Shirley of Waco; sister-in-law, Edna Weir of Gholson; numerous other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Clark; son, Robert Clark; mother, Amanda Scott; father, Levi Weir; sister, Ailene Bethke; brother, Carl Weir; infant sister, Nannie Mae; and sister-in-law, Linda Weir.
