Billie Kuykendall

Billie Phillips Kuykendall, age 88, of Kopperl, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the Kopperl Baptist Church in Kopperl, Texas. Rev. Dr. Tom Henderson and Rev. Nathan Vanderboegh will officiate. Burial will be in the Kopperl Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Shane Waller, Troy Stuewe, Tyler Stuewe, Kory Davis, Keith Davis, and Frank Falke.

Billie Phillips was born on April 27, 1931 in Cleburne, Texas to Elijah Gilford Phillips and Edith Sarah Harp Phillips. She attended schools in Brazos Point, Cleburne, and Kopperl. On July 12, 1947 she was married to Lloyd James Kuykendall and to that union was born son, Lloyd Wayne and daughter, Pamela Jean. Billie spent much of her time helping out with the grandchildren whom she loved very much. She also loved flowers, feeding the birds, and all outside animals. She loved her Lord and was very devout in living a christian life.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Lloyd James Kuykendall of Kopperl; son, Lloyd Wayne Kuykendall and wife, Patricia; daughter, Pamela Kuykendall; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Howe; numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Gilford and Edith Sarah Harp Phillips; brothers, Thomas Phillips, and Joseph Phillips; sisters, Mary Howe, Nadine Edwards, Aileen Montgomery.
