Charles David "Chuck" Strevel

Meridian, Texas

Charles David "Chuck" Strevel age 67, of Meridian and formerly of Granbury, entered into the gates of Heaven on June 14, 2022 and now is walking with Jesus.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Granbury, Texas. Burial will follow at the Granbury Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M., Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.

Charles David Strevel was born on September 21, 1954 in Davison, Michigan to Charles William and Betty Jane Howard Strevel. He went to school and graduated in 1972 from Davison High School. In 1977 he took his first high paying job working in a factory. He married Lori and together they had David and Kevin. While in Michigan he started working for McClane and became a Traveling Manager stocking shelves for 7 Elevens and supervising many employees. This job took him to Houston, Louisiana and Florida. Later in life he married Cynthia and together they had Timothy and Ashley. He married Robbin Thomason on April 4, 2004. Chuck moved to Granbury where he had a 27.5 year career as a Sales Manager. When he was not working he was quite the handy man. He could fix just about anything.  His hobbies were sports and antiques. Chuck had a love for antiques. Knives was his specialty. He worked at Witherspoons Antique Mall for 15 years and Chris Snider Dealership for 27.5. He enjoyed working and working hard at whatever he was doing. He was a great man and provided much for his family. Most of all he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member for many years of the First United Methodist Church in Granbury.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Robbin Strevel; daughter, Ashley Strevel; sons, David Strevel and Kevin Strevel; grandchildren, Skyler, Hunter, Riley and Elijah; sisters, Judy Hopps and husband, Jeff, Beverly Stewart and husband, Jim; brother-in-law, Bob Tyrell; sister-in-law, Chris Strevel; numerous other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles William and Betty Jane Howard Strevel; brother, Michael Strevel; sister, Debby Tyrell; and beloved son, Timothy Strevel.

Arrangements were faithfully entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792 .
