Dolores Faye Parker Fox age 84, of Kennedale and formerly of Walnut Springs, passed away on February 5, 2021 in Kennedale, Texas.

Funeral services are going to be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Jimmy Henderson will officiate. Burial will be at the Fulton Cemetery near Walnut Springs. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jacob Schumann, Brandon Powell, Lance Powell, Clayton Powell, Ben King, and Seth King. Honorary Pallbearer will be Spencer Schumann.

Dolores Faye Parker was born on December 23, 1936 in Walnut Springs, Texas to Grover Lee Parker, Sr. and Velma Lanora Hilliard. She was raised and educated in Walnut Springs graduating from Walnut Springs High School in 1955. Soon after graduation she married Tommy Jackson and the young couple moved to Arlington, Texas. Dolores stayed in the Arlington/Mansfield area for the rest of her life. In 1962 she married Wendal Fox. They moved to Colorado for a brief period of time but soon returned back to Texas in 1991. In 1991 Dolores followed her passion of Sewing and Fabrics and started working for Walmart in the Fabric Department. Dolores was a dedicated and faithful employee of Walmart until her retirement. Dolores was a strong women that raised 4 girls. She did however get to experience what it was like to raise boys for a short while. She helped raise some of her grandchildren while they were living with her in Alvarado. In 2016 Dolores moved from her home in Cleburne, Texas to her grandsons land to live her simple life in her little log cabin. Often times you would find Dolores sitting on the porch of the little cabin enjoying life but also feeding the chickens. You did not find Dolores without her precious dog, Baby Girl. Baby Girl went everywhere Dolores went. Dolores loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dolores could light up any room with her infectious smile.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Belinda Schumann and husband, Michael, Shelly Davis, Wendy Fox; grandchildren, Brandy, Robert, Spencer, Jacob, Michaela, Brandon, Lance, Clayton, Seth, and Charity; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Grover Lee Parker, Sr. and Velma Lanora Hilliard; husbands, Tommy Jackson and Wendal Fox; daughter, Renee Jackson; son-in-aw, Donald Davis, Sr; grandsons, Donald Davis, Jr., and Nathanael King, siblings, Altha Speenblock, Gwenda Byrum, and Grover Lee "Jack" Parker, Jr.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas- 254-435-2792.
