Jeanette (Pogue) Shaw

Jeanette Pogue Shaw age 82, of Lakeside Village, passed away on June 16, 2021 in Waco, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Bro. Richard Creech will officiate. Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery near Kopperl. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, June 21, 2021 also at Lawson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Logan Wakefield, Trevor Hamill, Albert Kirk, Jessy Kirk, Trey Johnston, and Troy Johnston.

Jeanette Pogue was born on May 22, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to William Clifford and Ileen Morris Pogue. She attended Duncanville High School. Jeanette worked at LaPetite Academy in Duncanville. During her free time she loved gardening and canning vegetables from her garden. She also enjoyed cooking for her family especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mom who was always there for everyone. Often times you could find her going to the Bosque County Wide Garage Sales or fishing on Lake Whitney. She especially loved her furbaby in Cocoa. We will miss you very much and always love you!

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Mona Francis Walker and husband, Jim Olds, Carolyn Villines, Sherry Villines Wakefield and Teresa Villines Hamill; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, William Clifford and Ileen Pogue; husband, Wilson Eugene Shaw; brother, William Pogue; and infant sister, Frances Pogue.
