Kristy Kay White Moore

March 17, 1979 — January 12, 2022

Oak Point and formerly of Clifton

Kristy Kay White Moore, age 42, of Oak Point, Texas, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, January 12, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital Dallas after a long battle with Covid.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 3:30 P.M., at Clifton Memorial Park Cemetery near Clifton, Texas. Pastors Mark Shaefer and Will Kemp will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Moore, Kevin White, Kris Mitchell, Ben Guffey, Matt Rottman, Jason Smith and John Totka.

Kristy was born on March 17, 1979, in Clifton, Texas, to Don and Gladys (Conrad) White. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clifton, Texas. She grew up in Clifton, making life-long friends, and graduated Clifton High School in 1997. After high school, Kristy attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Psychology in 2001, and graduated with a Master’s of Counseling Psychology in 2004 also from Tarleton State University. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor and had many accomplishments within the field, including lead therapist for patients with trauma. Later she became a business owner of her own private counseling practice for over 10 years. She changed the lives of countless patients. She was a gifted counselor, well respected mentor to many, and loved by all of her peers and colleagues in the field.

Not only did she touch the lives of hundreds of people, she also touched the lives of animals. She’s always been an animal lover and adored her own fur babies, Sadie Mae, Onyx, and Yowsah.

On June 22, 2013, Kristy became the bride of loving husband, Jody Moore, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clifton, Texas. Jody was the love of her life.

Kristy was such a kind, generous, loving, caring, and beautiful person. She loved to laugh, even if it was at inappropriate times, and knew all of the “FRIENDS” jokes and quotes. She had a gift for design, decorating, floral arranging, and making things pretty. You would often find her with her sister and niece decorating each other’s houses, especially around the holidays. When not designing and decorating, she loved finding DIY projects and learning different crafts. Her hobbies always included learning something new. She cherished spending time with her husband, especially when they went to weekend garage sales (which would add to her DIY projects), fishing on their boat, and travelling.

Kristy attended Waters Edge Church in Frisco, Texas. She had a strong faith, was a devout Christian, loving God until the end. Kristy told her family over the phone while she was in the hospital, “I want you to know, that if I die, that you know that Jesus lives, and that’s my one prayer that everyone knows that.” We find comfort in knowing that she is fully healed in the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ and know that we will see her again. Kristy will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends, and everyone who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys White.

Kristy is survived by her husband, Jody of Oak Point, TX; step-son, Galen Moore; step-son, Eugene Moore; step-daughter, Kesi Moore; father, Don White of Clifton, TX; sister, Kimberly Smith and husband, Jason of Palmer, TX; twin brother, Kevin White and wife, Kimberly of Hewitt, TX; niece who was loved like a daughter, Brittany Guffey and husband, Ben of Waxahachie, TX.
