Michael Wayne Gephart

Michael Wayne Gephart age 67, of Iredell, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his residence in Iredell.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell. Rev. Dr. Neil Wade will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Wilkins, Seth Hatton, Blake Hyles, Rory Carrol, Ricky Davis, Reed O'Connor, Danny Fowler, Jessie Duran, and Ernie Ensminger.

Michael Wayne Gephart was born on July 2, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Robert and Betty Wilkins Gephart. He was raised and educated in Iredell. Iredell was always home to Michael even though he did not move to Iredell until he was about 16 years old. He married Kristy Davis on February 9, 1997 in Cleburne, Texas. Michael enjoyed being outside and hunting. He was a simple man who enjoyed life. There was no grey area when talking with him. Michael loved being around family especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Kristy Gephart; sons, Robbie Gephart and wife, Wendy, Ethan Thomas and wife, Micah; daughters, Laura Hatton and husband, Seth, Michaela Hyles and husband, Blake; grandchildren, Alexas, Emily, and Michael Gephart, Brayden and Briley Hatton, Aniah Thomas, Avery Gephart, Judah and Gideon Thomas; sisters, Janet Conley, Sarah Davis and husband, Rick, and Renee Merimon; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Gephart, Betty and O.J. Merimon; brother, Gene Gephart; and grandson, Alan Bethke.
